Mother's Day

My Mom is my hero and I can’t imagine navigating through life without her guidance. Oftentimes I say to her, “Mom, the early bird gets the worm.” To which she emphatically replies, “I do not eat worms.” A formally-trained chef, my mom taught me how to bake scratch-made pastries and instilled in me the value of hard work. So each year, around this time I’m thinking of creative ways to celebrate her on Mother’s Day. The sooner I can solidify my plans, the more I feel prepared before the frenzy.
